Etrovision N71U-ML (Tamron 9-22 mm) Security Cameras

The N71U-ML bullet camera has the latest in optical zoom with auto focus (Tamron 9-22 mm Lens). This security camera has a high-end motorized lens module that is always in focus. The focus adjustment will happen automatically and spontaneously. Often for a traditional surveillance camera the focus is set to a depth on installation which is time consuming and once set will not be moved. For example, when the N71U-ML detects a change in condition such as, an object moving in the distance towards the camera, the auto focus will find the new focus for the scene right away giving far more clarity of the new object.

Application

Having the camera's image in clear focus is one of the most important tasks for setting up a video surveillance system, and sometimes very frustrating. With ease-of-use in mind, Etrovision uses a motorized lens to focus the image automatically and always looks for the best focus.

Usually, it requires two or more people to work as a team to focus a camera. One person will be on the site adjusting the camera lens and trying to coordinate with the other via a phone checking the image on the monitor. Due to the communication difficulties and video transmission latency, focusing the camera in this way can be very time-consuming. With a CCTV tester it can help the process, but the image displayed on the CCTV tester may be not be optimal due to the limitation in size and resolution of the CCTV tester monitor, and thus may mislead the installer. Focus is becoming more and more important with the greater resolutions now available on security cameras.

For N71U-ML and N50U-ML series, the user sends the optical zoom-in or zoom-out commands to the camera though internet explorer, and then Auto Focus will automatically focus the image. This means the user can stay in the control room focusing all the connected cameras instead of moving from one camera location to another.

This CCTV camera is vandal resistant which makes it perfect for indoor or outdoor use. The remotely controlled optical zoom and auto focus security camera has a field of view of approximately 90º wide to 12º zoomed.

The Etrovision security camera works well day or night due to its auto iris, mechanical IR cut filter removal and infrared LEDs. The illumination which is invisible to the human eye, is perfect for discovering objects in complete darkness up to a range of 40 meters. Having IR on security cameras is critical at night in poor lighting.
